As an NPI Engineer, you will apply your Electrical Engineering and measurement knowledge to a variety of focused hands-on projects. You will be part of an instrumental product development team that designs, develops, and tests RF and microwave test equipment.
We are looking for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in a fast-paced development environment and is equally comfortable writing production test code as well as troubleshooting HW issues. The ideal candidate is one who is equally comfortable with hands-on hardware testing and software development/test automation.
Your job responsibilities include the following while working with a multi-discipline team, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, & Production.
- Collaborate with R&D and marketing to develop new product models and features.
- Design and implement calibration algorithms.
- Designs, develops, debugs, evaluate and executes validation and verification tests.
- Designs, develops, debugs and turn-on test boards and test fixtures for the purpose of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Manage instrument hardware and the measurement, characterization, and calibration processes used during the NPI development phase and into production.
- Design and/or modify test stations, analyze test data and make product specification recommendations.
- Create technical documentation.
- Review/Evaluate and participate in setting production line specifications based on statistical data analysis.
- Evaluates and specifies components that make up the products and extends product life via parts replacement.
- Manage and guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and through the entire life cycle of the product.
- After product release, continue to manage engineering responsibilities for the system, hardware and production processes.
